U.S. Army Col. Beth Prekker – in the Spotlight

Cosby High held its 10th annual Memorial Day tribute to the U.S. military last week. More than 150 veterans participated, including some who served during World War II. Cosby High teacher Anne Canipe, who created and organizes the school-wide event, said, “Every year is different, but the idea is to recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day and the impact that our military has on our country. Without a military, we would not have what we have!” Several Cosby High families have members serving overseas. Cosby High mom and U.S. Army Col. Beth Prekker, who is stationed in Iraq, contributed this heartfelt video to the event.
