Chesterfield County Public Schools students to compete in SeaPerch Challenge to build underwater vehicle

Students from Chesterfield County Public Schools will compete in the third annual SeaPerch Challenge. Through project-based learning, students work in teams to design and build an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). The teams will compete in four underwater events, including maneuvering, recovery, relay and collaboration, designed to test their engineering knowledge and skill-level.

Prior to the event, the teams designed their unique SeaPerch team logo and completed an engineering design journal. Schools participating include  Academy 360, Falling Creek Middle, Manchester Middle, Swift Creek Middle and Tomahawk Creek Middle.
