Grace Clarke is in the SPOTLIGHT!

Midlothian High School

Grace ClarkeGrace Clarke is a senior at Midlothian High School.  She is not just any senior, though.  Clarke is currently carrying a 4.57 grade point average.

Grace is not just a senior with great grades. She is also a Gold Key Award for Scholastic Art and Writing Award winner, a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the Distinguished Honor Roll, a member of the National Art Honors Society, a member of the Student Council, a member of the French Club, and a member of the Spirit Club

Clarke is not just a senior with great grades, who is committed to so many extracurricular groups at Midlothian High School.  Grace is more than that.  She is also a member of the Trojans Tennis Team.  You may have heard of the Midlo Tennis Team.  That is the team that won three consecutive 4A State Championships. As a Sophomore, Clarke was one half of a doubles team that won the 4A Regional Championship and was the State runner-up.  In her Junior year, she was the 4A Conference, Regional, and State Individual Doubles Champion.  Clarke was also a member of the Junior Team Tennis USTA 18u National Team.   Oops!  Almost forgot.  Grace Clarke was also ranked 4th in nation last year.  The fourth best tennis player, in her class, in the United States of America.

Grace is not just a senior with great grades, who is committed to so many extracurricular groups at Midlothian High School, and excels on the tennis court. Clarke is more than that.  She also works as a Tennis Instructor at Salisbury Country Club, as a volunteer at Richmond Animal League, volunteers with Homework Helpers, helps with freshman orientation in the Side Kick Program, and is an active participant with the Ramp Access Made Possible by Students Organization.  Grace has also taken her passion for helping others on the road, making one week mission trips to both Saint Paul, Virginia and Tazewell, Virginia.

Grace ClarkeClarke is not just a senior with great grades, who is committed to so many extracurricular groups at Midlothian High School, excels on the tennis court, and is committed and active in community service.  Grace is more than that.  Recently, Clark Grace was one of sixteen finalists recognized at the Hall of Fame’s 12th Annual Student-Athlete Achievement Awards Banquet. The Award recognizes students who are well-rounded in the categories of athletic achievement, academic achievement and civic involvement.  They are chosen by the selection committee consisting of Hall of Fame Inductees and board members.

Clarke is not just a senior with great grades, who is committed to so many extracurricular groups at Midlothian High School, excels on the tennis court, is committed and active in community service, and a winner of the Virginia Hall of Fame’s 12th Annual Student-Athlete Achievement Award.  Grace is more than that.  Grace Clarke has also been inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame as a Student Athlete of the year.

Grace is not just a senior with great grades, who is committed to so many extracurricular groups at Midlothian High School, excels on the tennis court, is committed and active in community service, a winner of the Virginia Hall of Fame’s 12th Annual Student-Athlete Achievement Award, and an inductee into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame as a Student Athlete of the year.  Grace is more than that.  It makes you wonder what Grace will do next.
