Five Chesterfield alumni honored at annual BRAVO! Awards

Chesterfield County Public Schools

What do the state superintendent of public education, a poet and author, a national television news correspondent, a naval oceanographer and a multimedia producer and editor all have in common? All are former Chesterfield County students making a mark in their profession, leading them to be chosen as recipients of the 2017 BRAVO! Awards.

The Chesterfield Education Foundation’s Bravo! Awards is an annual celebration recognizing the outstanding achievements of Chesterfield County Public Schools alumni. Held each November, the awards dinner has come to be known as an inspiring evening, offering an opportunity to hear the honorees share their personal story of how their Chesterfield County education contributed to launching them on their path to success.

The following 2017 BRAVO! Award winners were recognized last night during an awards gala at the DoubleTree by Hilton:

  • Commander Heather Quilemderino
